I worked for nearly 30 years as a professional children's book illustrator. These days I prefer to create images and ceramic pieces without the restrictions of a client. I create things because I can't have a sound soul unless I do. When I'm making art I'm the happiest I can be, and I hope that translates into the pieces I make. What I love most about being creative is the process - using my hands to make something of value appear.
Everything is made slowly, with thought and consideration. It's slow art. It's not about churning out work to satisfy a market - it's about making things I love that I hope other people will love, too.
